What do you think how many people outside CRPG community thinks that BG is a classic )įinal Fantasy X is the most talked about FF game after FFVII, so this might become classic aswell (but i think it's out of 5 year bounds) But classic does not have to be classic for mainstream audience. Witcher was an awesome game, but it will be classic only amongst CRPG fans, people outside of this niche, will more likely go with Mass Effect, which i think is CRPG abomination. I bet Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 will be written with golden letters into classic aswell. I played it for 4 years and now i think about it as boring quest hub, but the impact on MMO gaming and playerbase, will be remembered for very very long time.
